July 23: Boston to Colorado Springs

Wednesday, July 23 was our first travel day. We left Boston on an early flight, changed planes in Minneapolis, and arrived in Colorado Springs in the early afternoon. We traveled by bus to Garden of the Gods, where we had lunch. From there, we checked into dormitories at University of Colorado, Colorado springs. We had dinner at the Flying W Ranch then were treated to a performance of the ranch's country-and-western band. When we bunked down for the night we were more than a little tired.
