2008 Backpacking Trip (May)

On May 16-18 Troop 248 went on a backpacking trip on the Metacomet-Monadnock Trail, starting in Royalston and ending at Mount Grace. The first day took somewhat longer than expected due to the time needed to pre-position cars for Sunday pickup and an extra 1.3 miles that had been added to the trail since our guide book was published. As a result, we reduced the Sunday itinerary to a hike to the top of Mount Grace and back with day packs.
